Vendimia Fest: Bringing the Countryside to the Heart of Barrio Italia

In recent years, one of the most significant changes in Chile has been the renewed appreciation and creative use of public spaces. A clear example of this is Vendimia Fest, a celebration that brings the best of the Chilean countryside to the heart of Santiago—in vibrant Barrio Italia.

It’s a unique event that honors our roots in an urban setting.

For April 2025, Vinos de Chile, the government entity in charge of promoting Chilean wine to the world, entrusted our communications agency with leading the promotion, creative production, and outreach for this major experience. The challenge? Increase the event’s visibility, boost the sale of wine tasting glasses, and establish Vendimia Fest as a key highlight on the city’s cultural calendar.

We developed a communication strategy tailored to a diverse audience—from seasoned wine lovers to those yet to discover the magic of our vineyards and wineries. We launched digital campaigns, forged partnerships with local influencers and content creators, and ensured that every message—from planning to the event day—reflected our Chilean identity and heritage.

Over the course of two days, more than 55,000 people gathered freely on Avenida Italia, far surpassing tasting expectations, and enjoyed an unforgettable experience: grape stomping, cueca dancing, traditional games, live music, DJs, talks, tourism, and of course, the best Chilean wine. All delivered with a sustainable, family-friendly, and culture-rich approach.

Vendimia Fest not only celebrates our tradition—it stands as a model of a memorable experience that boosts local tourism, strengthens cultural identity, and energizes the city.

Cheers to that!
