In January 2018, the Tren Valparaíso Santiago (TVS) consortium, made up of China Railways Group, Sigdo Koppers, and Latinoamérica Infraestructura, unveiled the project for South America’s first high-speed train, which would connect both cities in 45 minutes and improve the efficiency of the ports of Valparaíso and San Antonio.
Our advisory work aimed to create the conditions for the Chilean government to tender the high-speed train, positioning the project before the public and authorities.
We implemented a comprehensive strategy that included branding, corporate video production, website development, social media content creation, and communication management for complex issues. Our 360º campaign included:
The TVS train was established as an innovative project, with strong public support and sustained media presence. We communicated its benefits across productive, academic, and political spaces in the Valparaíso Region and held key meetings with editors and journalists to explain the public-private partnership model and its impact on the country’s development.
We launched a digital campaign focused on the benefits for people and cities along the route, using a clear and relatable tone with explanatory visuals. Additionally, external validators publicly supported the need for a high-speed train.
On June 1, 2019, the State of Chile declared the TVS project a public interest initiative.
